836 cops complete training

A TOTAL of 836 Basic Internal Security Operation Course (Bisoc) and Public Safety Field Training Program (PSFTP) trainees completed their training with a joint culmination at the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Davao grandstand, Camp Sergeant Quintin M. Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City.

PRO 11 spokesperson Police Chief Inspector Milgrace Driz said there were 376 Bisoc graduates Class 2018-01 Pinaghusay and 460 PSFTP Class 2017-02 Masigasig who were trained for 45 days.

The closing ceremony was graced by Police Chief Superintendent Manuel Gaerlan who was the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

The training aims to equip the new cops the necessary skills and knowledge as they start their police service.

Driz added that the purpose of training in Bisoc is for insurgency operations while the PSFTP will be trained in the station on phases for general investigation, patrolling, and traffic investigation.

The Bisoc graduates will be assigned to Regional Mobile force Battalion (RMFB) while the PSFTP will be undergoing Bisoc training.

“Some of graduates of Bisoc training will be downloaded to Provincial Mobile Force Battalion to fill in their quota,” Driz said.
