THE Police Regional Office (PRO)–Western Visayas will celebrate the 117th Police Service Anniversary of the Philippine National Police (PNP) today, August 14.
PNP Deputy Director General Ramon Apolinario will be the guest of honor and speaker for the event to be held at Camp Martin Teofilo Delgado in Iloilo City.
Superintendent Joem Malong, public information officer of PRO-Western Visayas, in a text message to media on Monday, August 13, said delivery of services in all offices inside the headquarters will be temporarily suspended for the said celebration.
During the event, Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao, director of PRO-Western Visayas, will give awards to policemen who excel in their respective areas of jurisdiction particularly on the campaign against criminalities and illegal activities based on their accomplishments in 2017.
Kalibo Municipal Police Station in Aklan and Roxas City Police Station in Capiz will be awarded as best municipal police station, and best component city police station, respectively.
Capiz Provincial Police Office and Iloilo City Police Office will also be awarded for being the best police provincial office, and best city police office, respectively.
The Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Iloilo City Mobile Force Company will also be recognized as the best provincial and city mobile force company, respectively.
Among the awardees are Senior Superintendents Samuel Nacion, and Marlon Tayaba, directors of provincial police offices from Capiz and Iloilo, respectively.
Chief Inspectors Roy Rodrigo Guttierez, and Jonathan Pinuela, and Senior Inspector Kennith Bermejo from regional headquarters, Iloilo Provincial Police Office, and Regional Drug Enforcement Unit -6, respectively.
Four non-commissioned officers, two non-uniformed personnel, and six other units will also be recognized for their various accomplishments. (GYM/SunStar Bacolod)
