Drug suspect killed in shootout with cops

A SUSPECT listed as the No.1 drug personality of Barangay San Agustin, City of San Fernando was killed in a shootout with police during an anti-drug operation on Monday.

Police Superintendent Levi Hope Basilio, City of San Fernando chief of police, identified the slain suspect as Manuel Dingle alias “Toto,” a resident of Boulevard, Barangay San Agustin.

Initial investigation showed that operatives of City of San Fernando Police Station conducted the drug bust against the suspect along Greenhills Village in Barangay San Agustin, and upon sensing that he was dealing with lawmen, he tried to escape onboard a motorcycle. When cornered, the suspect immediately drew his gun and fired towards the cops.

Recovered from the suspect were four spent shells, one cal .38 revolver loaded with two empty shells and two live ammunition for cal. 38, seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride), two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected marijuana leaves, three plastic sachets containing suspected shabu residue, improvised marijuana pipe, weighing scale and P500 marked money.
