PRIMO is back with a new look!

With a pop culture theme, Primo Café and Grill guarantees Dabawenyos a good food treat by grilling your favorite barbeque all-time favorites.

“A whole new menu for the food and the inspiration of the place was tweaked in order to meet the demand in the area,” Primo Café and Grill owner Jondi Lacson said in an interview during the re-opening event of the restaurant on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

Lacson said there is still a great demand for Filipino cuisines even with the tight competition of foreign-inspired restaurants and bars in the metro.

For Primo’s comeback, Lacson said the innovation of the restaurant was geared to focusing on Filipino culture especially on highlighting Southern Philippine dishes.

The same venue of the restaurant at J. Camus Street corner General Luna Street, Davao City will welcome you with vibrant Filipino-themed wall art of the iconic jeepney and the bright color combination of red, blue, and yellow which make up the Philippine flag.

Lacson added Primo retained the all-time favorites like sinuglaw, crispy pata, kinalaw, and arroz caldo, but now they added these with some new twist.

“The Filipino classic food was given another feature, most of these were added with another style,” Lacson said.

He added they offer more food innovations like Primo’s pancit is made from Korean noodles, but still maintains Filipino taste. Primo offers different chicharon platters like chicharon balat, bulaklak, kropek, and tenga.

For this year’s celebration of the Kadayawan Festival, Primo will offer a grilling station for avid barbeque eaters. Just right at the balcony side of the restaurant are grillers where Dabawenyos can grill their own barbeque order while enjoying a bountiful meal at Primo Café and Grill.
