PNP bags 3 more golds

AFTER grabbing two gold medals in day one last August 11, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Maritime added three more gold medals the following day as the 2nd Kadayawan Dragon Boat Festival 2018 came to a close Sunday, August 12, at the Sta. Ana Pier, Ramon Magsaysay Avenue, Davao City.

The PNP Maritime, who arrived from Manila via C-130, ruled the 200-meter open small, 200m mixed small and 200m open standard categories to complete their Davao City campaign with a total of five gold medals.

PNP registered a total time of 57.72 seconds beat United Paddlers Club (58:09), fellow-PNP (58:80) and Bugsay Marajao (1:01.53) in the 200m open small category.

The squad clocked 59.73 seconds to race past Kujaw Tiger Dragons of Surigao del Sur (1:00.88), Polilio of Quezon Province (1:02.21) and Butuan Dragons (1:19.40) in the 200m mixed small event.

PNP also emerged champion in the 200m open standard category after checking in at 54:29 followed by Polilio (54:29), Hiraya Minokawa (56.75) and Dragons del Sur (58:36).

Meanwhile, the Kujaw Tiger Dragons secured the 200m women's small title with a time of 1:09.09, prevailing over Dragons del Sur (1:14.03), Dragon Warriors (1:14.60) and Butuan Dragons (1:15.64).

Polilio (56:06), however, topped the 200m mixed standard at the expense of Kujaw Tiger Dragons (59:03), Dragon Warriors (59:76) and Dragons del Sur (1:00.56).
