DESPITE his two fight losing skid, Nathan Bolcio hopes to get back on his winning ways when he guns for the World Boxing Council (WBC) Asia super featherweight title on September 8.

Bolcio, the former WBC Youth Intercontinental super flyweight title and Philippines Luzon Professional Boxing Association (LuzProBA) super featherweight belt holder is set to face Al Toyogon.

Highland Boxing Gym manager Brico Santig confirmed over the weekend his Kapangan, Benguet ward has been working out with some of his top boxers in a bid to arrest his two fight skid.

Bolcio (14-14-3) has lost four out of his seven bouts since 2016 after bagging the LuzProBa title against Danilo Peña and a win over Rex Olisa in March 2017.

Toyogon, of Misamis Oriental meanwhile is riding high on a three fight winning streak, all via knock out.

The youthful Toyogon, at 20 - years - old, has already five knock outs under his resume out of the eight victories with two losses and one draw.

Meanwhile, Highland's undefeated boxing prospect Jay-R Raquinel will vie for the vacant World Boxing Council Silver flyweight title on September 28 in Changsha, China.

Raquinel (10-0-1), who recently defended his OPBF flyweight title will square off against Wulan Tuolehazi.

The 21 - year - old Raquinel bagged the vacant OPBF Silver flyweight title by edging Richard Rosales on October 2017 then successfully defending the belt earlier in March by knocking out Keisuke Nakayam in the ninth round and Shun Kosaka in the fourth round in May.

Tuolehazi, whose record stands at 8-3-1 is hoping to extend his three fight winning streak and has won the interim World Boxing Organisation Asia Pacific flyweight title last May via a fourth round technical knockout. (Roderick Osis)
