Kadayawan feast in Davao hotels

THERE sure are a lot of surprises that await tourists and Dabawenyos this Kadayawan Festival. And the hotel industry here has prepared things to make this celebration more festive.

Marco Polo Hotel Davao

This celebration, Marco Polo gives emphasis to the culinary highlights that embraces local flavors.

Café Marco offers Kadayawan-themed buffet for only P 850nett for lunch and P1200nett for dinner. Guests get to taste Mindanaoan dishes include Agal-Agal from the Sama Tribe, Palapa from the Maranao Tribe, Utan (Taro Stewed in Coconut Milk), Linotlot nga Nonno (Shrimps Cooked in bamboo), Binogsung no Tilapia (Tilapia wrapped in leaves), and Omoy to Kuron (Rice Cooked in Clay Pot).

To complete the Kadayawan experience, the hotel also offers the official festival drink, the Kadayawan Cooler.

Seda Abreeza Hotel

Seda Abreeza’s Misto, a two-year Philippine Tatler awardee for Best Restaurants has prepared an ala carte special filled with local favorites, presented with a touch of exquisite flavors.

During the Kadayawan week, the regularly offered ala carte dishes are already part of the buffet from August 16-18, with a lot more courses included as: Pomelo and Prawn Salad, Beef Shank Pochero with Saging na Saba, Malagos Cheeses, Durian Panna Cotta, Malagos Dark Chocolate Cheesecake, Banoffee Tart and more are on the menu. Diners may avail this at P980 nett for adults, P580 nett for kids 7-12, and free for kids 6 and below.

The all-day dining restaurant’s specialty promotions come with an authentic Davao taste as it partners with Malagos Cheese, Malagos Chocolates, and Tadeco’s export-quality bananas. Cultural performances from Madayaw Cultural Ensemble will also be shown in Misto on the 3rd week of August.

Park Inn by Radisson Davao

Park Inn by Radisson Davao’s RBG Bar & Grill Kadayawan offering is its Fiesta sa Banig Special. A set meal which includes a choice of Ensaladang Pipino at Dilis or Ensaladang Guso at Pomelo Salad, Sinigang na Bariles sa Mangosteen, a Platter of Grilled Chicken, Pork and Boneless Bangus, a basket of Pandan Rice, a platter of Durian-Ube Turon and Sweet Potato float for dessert. Plus a round of Pineapple Pomelo Juice or Arabica Robusta Coffee to complement your meal.

Have a taste of the Kadayawan Festival with the Fiesta sa Banig set meal priced at P1,899 net per set good for 6-8 persons.

Moreover, the hotel also offers a special room package priced at P5,550 net per room per night inclusive of buffet breakfast and a set dinner for two persons.
