SUN LIFE Financial Philippines, Inc. marked its highest ranking so far in the Campaign Asia Pacific’s Top 100 Brands in the Philippines.
The only life insurance company to land in the list, Sun Life rose to the 72nd spot in 2018 from 89th in 2017.
This is the company’s highest ranking since it started being a regular on the list five years ago, alongside brands in 15 different categories including automotive, retail, apparel and accessories, restaurants, food, beverage, consumer electronics, home appliances, courier services, media and telecommunications, sports, transportation/travel and leisure, and household and personal care.
“For Sun Life to land on the list is a testament to the Filipinos’ growing interest in insurance and investments, and we’re honored that it is our company they have in mind when it comes to these financial instruments,” Sun Life CEO and country head Benedict Sison said. “We look forward to nurturing this interest by continuously expanding our financial literacy efforts, providing relevant products, program, and tools, and deepening our relationship with our clients.”
Top 100 Brands in the Philippines is part of a region-wide study entitled Asia’s Top 1000 Brands, and is based on the results of a survey developed by Campaign Asia- Pacific in partnership with global information and insights provider Nielsen.
Respondents were asked to share “the best brands that comes to mind” in the specified categories, where “best” refers to the one that has the best reputation in the category. (PR)
