2 ‘big-time’ pushers nabbed

THE police have arrested two alleged “big-time” drug pushers in separate anti-drug operations in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, an official said Saturday, August 18.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Jason Villar alias Atabs, 25; and, John Carmel Ajero alias Dodz, 25, both of Dipolog City.

Galvez said Villar was arrested upon serving of search warrant around 2:30 a.m. Saturday in Olingan village.

Confiscated were P180,000 worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as “shabu,” packed in one big and one medium-sizes heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and illegal drug paraphernalia, she added.

The information officer said Ajero was arrested in a drug bust around 3:30 a.m. Saturday in Martinez Street in Central village.

She said confiscated were P50,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in two medium-sizes heat-sealed plastic sachets; P1,000 marked money consisting of two P500 bills; a cellular phone; illegal drugs paraphernalia; and, P90,000 cash believed to be proceeds of the illegal drug trade.
