Cebu Landmasters launches P3.6B mixed-use development

AS an innovative way to increase the lifestyle quality of Cebuanos everywhere, Cebu Landmastes Inc. recently launched Astra Centre—a P3.6 billion project in a strategic Metro Cebu location expected to help address the metropolis’ surging need for integrated developments. The developer’s second full-range mixed-use property will rise on a 1.2-hectare lot on A.S. Fortuna St., Mandaue City’s lifestyle hub within striking distance from Cebu City.

“Astra Centre’s strategic location combined with the synergies that will arise from the development’s components ensure a high-energy development,” said Jose Soberano III, CLI chief executive officer. “Astra Centre will change the landscape of Mandaue City.”

The project will have two towers rising from one podium. Scheduled soon for groundbreaking is the podium, where the mall will be located, and the first 30-floor Tower 1 which will have a hotel and residential condominium. These components make up the first phase of the project.

Astra Centre Mall will be an upscale three-level boutique mall with 8,300 square meters of leasable area. It will have a high ceiling with atrium, outdoor dining and retail stores at a paseo connected to a sunken garden and a supermarket, and cinemas.

Radisson RED, a first in the Philippines, is a 146-room hotel to be operated by the Radisson Hotel Group and is one of the five hotels in the CLI hospitality portfolio. It has a unique design and upscale select service offerings that will be informal, aspirational and targeted towards millennials. These will include fun, bold designs, 24-7 facilities, high-speed WIFI, “grab and go” food and beverage options, and statement art pieces that exude the expressiveness of the brand. “Cebu City is the perfect location to introduce Radisson RED to the Philippines, being a dynamic urban center with a youthful vibe and positive outlook,” said Katerina Giannouka, president for Asia Pacific of Radisson Hotel Group.

One Astra Place will be a residential condominium with 15 floors consisting of 478 units. Amenities include an infinity pool, kiddie pool, function rooms, gym, al fresco area and skydeck, among others. It offers studio units with 22 sq.m. floor area and one-bedroom units with 36 sq.m. floor area. It will consist of Astra Corporate Center, which will offer 12 floors of modern office spaces with a leasable area of 15,900 sq.m. and a residential condominium.

The lifestyle mall is set to open in 2021 (about three years in development), and will feature a mix of local and international brands.
