ARE you running out of ideas where to bring your guests and still you need to bring them around anyway? Don't despair. Just head on out to Tulip Drive where there is a long row of eating places to dine in.

Last week, Imee and I tried Cuenco's Rice and Noodle Bar as my once little girl Ace now all grown up as a sophisticated lady was in town for a very short break from her work in Singapore.

As its name connotes, Cuenco's offers food with rice and noodles, filling ones too, plus the quiet ambience you'd love to have.

Ace arrived much earlier as she came from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to have her teacher's license renewed while I can't leave earlier than my 6 p.m. time out from the office.

She enjoyed her wait she said. It was quiet and she liked the merienda of fried suman.

I got the pork binagoongan, Ace got the dinakdakan, and Imee got a noodle dish I forgot what.

Each dish is priced and sized just right, and thus contributes to the over-all chill ambience. It's a place where you sit down and have a leisurely lunch or dinner or merienda in the old world quiet of Tulip Drive.

Cuenco's is right across the gate of Fuente de Villa Abrille. Just drive right in at Tulip Drive. It's easy to find.
