THE San Remigio Beach Club bowlers stole the lead after a strong second round in the 2018 Rich Sweet & Spicy Banana Catsup Tenpin Bowling Invitational Tournament in the SM City Cebu Bowling Center last Friday.
The San Remigio Beach Club scored 2,570 in the second round for a two-round total of 5,052, putting them on top of the ranking with two rounds left in the four-to-count team tournament.
Rich Catsup Team moved up from third place to second place after scoring 2,523 for a total of 5,006.
First-round leader E.O Bucoy Consultants 2 failed to duplicate its score of 2,531 in the opening round as it only came up with 2,408 for a total of 4,939, dropping it to third place.
The San Remigio Beach Club had steady play in three games of the second round. The team opened the round with 849 followed with 840 before capping it off with 881.
The rest of the top 10 teams after Round 2 are RRCC& J Team (4,773), E.O Bucoy Consultants 1 (4,711), Chanieka (4,697), D’ Unli Team (4,612), D’Underdog (4,419), Cetba Juniors 1 (3,945) and Cetba Juniors II (3,899).
Rich Catsup scored the day’s best 905 in the second game and won the highest team single award. Ronan Barredo and Janice Calibugan fired 224 and 196 to win the highest men’s and women’s individual single scores.
The third round of the tournament organized by Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association is set this Friday still in the same venue. RSC
