Arrested were the following: Arnold Abrasaldo, 35; Aldwin Abrasaldo, 35; Oliver Manisan, 27; Marlon Pesa, 35; and, Florante Supangan, 43.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said the suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 11:25 p.m., Saturday, August 18, at Villanueva compound along Magsaysay Street in the village of Miputak, Dipolog City, the capital of Zamboanga del Norte.

Galvez said the suspects were arrested after they sold a small-sized heat-sealed plastic sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu.”

Galvez said confiscated from the suspects were suspected shabu worth P10,000 packed in two medium and four small-sizes heat-sealed sachets; P500 marked money; P1,150 cash of different denominations believed to be proceeds in the sale of illegal drugs; cellular phones; and, illegal drug paraphernalia.

The arrest of the suspects came hours after lawmen have arrested two suspected big-time drug pushers while P180,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized in separate anti-drug operations in Dipolog City.

One of the two suspects was arrested in the village of Olingan while the other in Central, Dipolog City.
