The Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association (Cecaba) showed their force as they crushed GMA-7 Kapuso, 130-95, in the opening game of the Newsmen Basketball Association (NBAC) 2018 Season in the Cebu Eastern College gym yesterday.
The exhibition game between Cecaba and GMA-7 Kapuso was part of the season opener of the NBAC 2018, which is co-sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and business mogul Chester Cokaliong.
Cokaliong nailed 20 three-pointers and finished with a game-high 64 points, while Jesse Pastor Magno added 16 for Cecaba.
Julius Vidal and broadcaster Gabriel Bonjoc paced GMA with 24 and 21 points each.
In the other game, the SunStar Cebu/Manila Bulletin/MyTV Organique yielded to Bombo Radyo, 44-51. Jovan Villatura had 10 points while Hakeem Bustamante added nine for the winning team.
The undermanned SunStar Cebu/Manila Bulletin/MyTV was led by Philip Cerojano with 20 points and sportswriter Richiel Chavez with 14. (RSC)
