DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said there is no need for her father President Rodrigo Duterte to reveal the real score of his health condition.
"Very transparent naman si PRRD (President Rodrigo Roa Duterte) with regards to his health. If he is not feeling well, sinasabi niya. If he is very energetic sinasabi niya, so there is no need mag-disclosure pa kung ano ang status ng health ni President Duterte," Duterte-Carpio said.
Magdalo party-list Representative Gary Alejano called on the President to disclose his health condition, citing that it is of public interest in view of his repeated declarations to step down before his term ends.
"This is not the first time we heard from the President that he wants to resign. More often, we would also hear from his speeches rants over being tired and experiencing illnesses due to old age. In this regard, I believe the public has the right to know the health status of the President especially now that he is once again insinuating stepping down from office," Alejano said in a statement.
Speculations about the President’s health also circulated after the President did not attend important events.
