‘Lihok’ arts festival slated

THE National Commission for Culture and the Arts, in partnership with the Negros Museum, will hold Lihok Visayas Arts Festival and Conference, a four-day celebration of the region’s artistic wealth that will kick off on August 22.

With the theme, "Cultural Movement Towards Inclusiveness and Transformation," Lihok 2018 aims to highlight in a four-day Arts Festival and Conference the thriving Visayan regions with their best practices in interdisciplinary and collaborative performances and exhibits, creative industry trade fair, interactive lecture demos, and exchange of innovative ideas in a conference.

The official delegates for the conference will be represented by the NCCA Island cluster programs coming from the Visayan islands of Panay, Bohol, Samar and Negros.

The opening for the Creative trade fair and exhibit will be on August 22, at 9 a.m. at the Negros Museum.

The showing of local films will be also held at The Negros Museum from August 22 to 24. (PR)
