Bong Go mum on senate run

AFTER topping the senatorial survey of the University of Mindanao’s Institute of Popular Opinion (UM-IPO), Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go expressed his gratitude to the Dabawenyos for selecting him but remains mum on his plan to run for a senate post.

Go earned the top spot of the senatorial bet with more than seven out of 10 Dabawenyos, or 76 percent, said they would vote for Go in the 2019 midterm elections.

Despite the result, he remains firm on his stance that he is not interested to run for the senatorial election in 2019. He likewise thanked Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Caprio for his trust on his capacity and even endorsing him for the midterm poll next year.

Asked if he had changed his mind, he reiterated that it’s too early for that and he does not entertain the thought as of now.

He would just let the President to decide where he would want to place him in political scene.

“I leave it to the wisdom of the President kung alam niya po kung saan ako makakatulong atalam naman natin si Pangulomg Duterte, kapakanan ng nakakarami parati ang nasa isipan niya.”

Despite his continuous statement of not running, he said that he is very much ready to render his services in any way that he could help with around 20 years of experience in the government service.
