Vinluan: Weight and physical activities

EVERYDAY brings with it new reports on the benefits of exercise. However, reports don’t usually coincide with each other, for the reason that some show positive effects and others show its negative effects and some does not permit any conclusions.

In a scale of one-to-ten, most if not all who wants to engage in physical activities want to lose weight, or maintain their weight, the truth is that the best way to keep your body and mind in top shape is to be physically active no matter what your physical condition.

Why are physical activities important? Regular physical activity is important for good health, even as it is important if you are trying to lose weight or to maintain a healthy weight, because physical activities helps in maintaining weight, reduce high blood pressure, reduce risks of heart attack, stroke, diabetes, etc. reduce arthritis pain and associated disabilities, reduce risk of osteoporosis and falls, and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Weight management aside from reducing the number of calories you eat, needs a great deal of physical activities to create a “calorie deficit” that results to a healthier weight. People vary greatly in how much physical activity they need to manage their weight, however there are two distinct ways how one can manage a healthy weight.

In maintaining weight, for example, an individual can do moderate-intensity aerobic activities like brisk walking, biking at a casual pace or even doing house chores and mixing it with vigorous-intensity aerobic activities like jogging, swimming, cross country jogging, jump ropes and joining in competitive sports like badminton, basketball, football, etc. every week can help you maintain weight over time. However, the exact amount of physical activities needed by an individual cannot be clear because it varies from person to person.

Losing weight and keeping it off, individuals must have to indulge themselves in more physical activities and adjust their diet to reduce the amount of calories they eat and drink, because getting through and staying at a healthy weight requires both a regular physical activity and a healthy eating habit.
