POISED for flight is Lalique’s 130th anniversary offering, the swallow-themed Hirondelles Collection.

The haute-couture selling event took place at Rustan’s Cebu at Ayala Center Cebu with the following VIPs: Lalique regional director for Southeast Asia and Oceania Daniel Ong, who was joined by Rustan’s Home division manager Cecil Hermoso; Home events manager Malu Liu and Rustan’s Cebu store manager Pepet Macachor.

Let’s bring you back to 1888 when French glass designer Rene Lalique showcased his eponymous lifestyle brand Lalique, pushing the limits of French savoir-faire, soaring to greater heights as the ultimate symbol of French luxury.

From crystal perfume bottles, timeless jewelry and art objects, to the sophisticated five-star hotel, and two Michelin-starred gourmet restaurants—Villa Rene Lalique, Maison Lalique—one can look back with pride to the heritage built by its founder, Rene Lalique.

Through his work he explored the artistic possibilities of flora, fauna and the female form. Among fauna, the swallow inspired him, which he then made centerpiece of many jewels and objets d’art.

Thus today’s masterpieces, the Hirondelles Collection takes flight.

Fly high, Lalique!

Here’s great news from Dr. Ingrid Sala-Santamaria!

The new YouTube channel Dr. Ingrid Sala-Santamaria (ISS) opened with an introductory interview with Sam Costanilla and features six compact discs (CDs) with their audio sound digitally recorded and with visuals super imposed. The various concertos: CD-1 Tchaikovsky; CD-2 Grieg Concerto; CD-3 – Liszt; CD-4 Beethoven; CD-5 – Brahms and CD-6 – Mendelssohn.

These six CDs with a total of 11 piano concertos were recorded by Dr. ISS in Metro Manila with the Manila Symphony Orchestra (MSO) with Prof. Arturo Molina as conductor and Prof. Jeffrey Solares as music director. Dr. Amor Hernando compiled and collated the pictures and other visuals, while videographer Anric Boholst super imposed these on the CD recording.

It is hoped that these new YouTube uploads will project an extraordinary musical experience through these Philippine artists.
