It is expected to arrive at the Mactan Benito Ebuen Air Base at 9:20 a.m.

Salas, in an interview with ABS-CBN, said Staff Sgt. Jeffrey Gozom and Sgt. Christy “Jingle” Llamera will be greeted with arrival honors while a mass will be held at the air base chapel.

Gozom and Llamera were two of nine people killed when the Nomad plane crashed in a subdivision in Cotabato City Thursday.

They were with Major Gen. Mario “Butch” Lacson, commander of the 3rd Air Division.

Also killed were pilots Capt. Genaro Gaylord Ordonio and 1Lt. Angelica Valdez, Maj. Prisco Tacoboy, Lt. Alexander Ian Lipait and Staff Sgt. Ronaldo Mejia.

Civilian Melina Mondrano was also killed.

The family of Llamera, according to the ABS-CBN report, has confirmed they will use a chapel at the Cebu Rolling Hills Memorial Homes.

While the funeral parlor has not received word from Gozom’s family, air force officials have already coordinated with them.

Yesterday morning, a mass and a silent drill were held in honor of the eight air force personnel killed in the crash.

Air force officials are now investigating the cause of the crash, although minutes after the plane took off, the pilot reportedly radioed the air traffic control tower and told them they experienced power loss.

As the investigation continues, all Nomad planes were ordered grounded. (MEA)
