‘Pulis Natin’ caravan offers one-stop shop

THE Police Regional Office in Davao (PRO 11) launched the “Pulis Natin” Caravan on Friday, August 24, at the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) covered court, San Pedro Street, Davao City to bring the Philippine National Police’s (PNP’s) frontline services closer to the public.

Police Chief Inspector (PCI) Milgrace Driz, PRO 11 spokesperson, said the activity will help individuals who are in need of police assistance and aims to provide easier access through a one-stop shop.

“The caravan aims to bring the PNP frontline services to the people of Davao City and nearby provinces to cater complaints, queries, issues and concerns of the community,” Driz said, adding that it will also help regain public trust and confidence of people and improve the services of the PNP.

PRO 11 installed several booths inside the DCPO covered court that offer different PNP services including processing of license to own and possess (LTOPP), firearms registration, permit to carry firearms (PTCFOR), security guard license processing, drug testing, conduct of neuro psychiatric examination, motor vehicle clearance/verification, PNP retirement benefits, illegal drugs and anti-cyber concerns, free legal advise, PNP recruitment, women and children issues, and free medical and dental outreach.

Driz also said that there were also information, education and communication materials that were distributed among those who availed the services.

PRO 11 regional director Police Chief Superintendent Marcelo Morales, meanwhile, urged the public to avail the services to be offered by the different units under their office.

“(I) would like to encourage the citizens to avail themselves of the services of the PNP to resolve issues and concerns of the communities, to participate and to strengthen our ties in public safety services. The convenience of this is one stop shop of all police safety services offered to showcase our capabilities and genuine services to the public,” Morales said.
