BASKETBALL Unified Sports Group failed to stop Dentists' barkada losing, 91-94 in the lone Thursday game of the LNA7 Foundation Inter barkada at West Negros University gym.

Katsi Cadagat scored a game-high 25, hitting 17 points in the third quarter. Jerald Abrot added 18 while Ariston Sillana and Toto Jardinero chipped in 12 apiece as the Dentists' barkada came from behind after trailing by 14 points early.

Hermi Derwill led the Huskies with 20 markers, Bernie Chan had 12, Edmundo Lumawag 11 and Tanker Habaradas 10 for BUS Group which led 42-37 at half.

Cadagat waxed hot with 17 points in the third to put Dental closer at 64-67 despite the combined 24-point effort of Biboy Java, Joseph Arenas, Benjamin Alvarez, Randolph Benedicto and Bert Pabon.

The Huskies weakness at the backcourt was exposed as Dental's full-court press resulted to looseball and turnovers for BUSG. Abrot and Cadagat joined hands for 16 points in the clutch hitting as Sillana and Jardinero used their speed and experience to tie the count at 89-all.

Chan bungled a jumper, Lumawag lost the ball at inbound and Derwill's desperate triple came short as Dental hold on to the final count in the dying seconds.

Derwill stole the ball with 2 seconds left but his heave from the arc failed its mark, which could have extended the game.

Inter barkada games, says commissioner Jake Azucena are held Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
