Navy commander vows to keep city safe

Naval Forces of Eastern Mindanao Commander Ramil Roberto Enriquez pledged to protect and keep Davao City safe under his watch.

“Rest assured that your Navy is preserving peace and we are also committed to be your reliable partner in economic development,” Enriquez said during the privilege hour of Davao City Councilor Maria Belen Acosta at the regular City Council session Friday, August 24, at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Building.

He also said, “We are committed to keep the peace here in Davao and one of our concern was the non-repetition of the incident in Samal Island.”

Enriquez showed a video of the Naval Forces helping in different communities in Davao City, conducting military assistance and services.

Acosta acknowledged Enriquez for his service to the country in various Philippine Navy Vessels.

Meanwhile, Davao City Vice Mayor Bernard Al-ag thanked Enriquez, adding that they will also cooperate with the Naval Forces. (LHC)
