REIGNING Brave Combat Federation (Brave CF) bantamweight champion Stephen Loman is set for another title defense later this year.

This was confirmed by Brave CF president Mohammed Shahid saying Loman will be the second champion in the Bahrain based MMA promotion to defend his title twice in 2018.

Earlier, Brave announced submission specialist from Algeria, Elias Boudegzdame will defend his championship against Bubba Jenkins who is an NCAA division 1 champion.

The promotion had been actively working with Team Lakay, which is noted as Asia's top fight team in 2018.

Loman is currently the youngest champion in Brave which features an extensive roaster of athletes from 42 nations.

The former University of the Cordilleras student is also the only Filipino to defend the championship in the United Kingdom and the youngest champion in the promotion to successfully defend his title.

Shahid meanwhile has confirmed the Bahrain based global promotion is working towards making an event in Philippines by 2019 a reality and stressed his team is currently on works to ensure there will be an event hosted in the near future in Philippines.

Brave had featured martial artists from Philippines in events hosted in Bahrain, Brazil, UAE, India, Mexico, Jordan, Indonesia, United Kingdom and Morocco.

Also confirmed is recruitment of fighters from the Philippines in the fight cards.

"Philippines had been a focus for Brave Combat Federation from the very beginning. From time and time warriors from Philippines had proved that they not only have the skill to compete in the international level but also have the heart that matters when it comes to combat sports. The fighters respect the sport and are model athletes with their attitude and respect towards the sport and will play a crucial role during the coming editions of Brave,” said Shahid.
