HBO released its lineup of 2019 shows with a two-second clip of what’s to come in the final season of “Game of Thrones” (“GOT).
The HBO ad lasted a minute and 40 seconds with a lot of “GOT” in it but they were mostly clips from the last season. The new clip featured Jon Snow (Kit Harington) embracing Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), which was reminiscent of their Season 6 reunion. However, Entertainment Weekly magazine reported that it is a scene from the upcoming season showing the former King in the North reuniting with the Lady of Winterfell following the former’s episodes-long alliance and dalliance with the Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).
The hit series will air its final season sometime next year.
The ad, called HBO Presents: The Future, also shows Meryl Streep’s appearance in the second season of “Big Little Lies.” There were also clips of the popular “Veep” and the third season of “True Detective,” which will star Mahershala Ali. There were also teasers for Jennifer Garner’s “Camping” and a Jane Fonda documentary. JGA
