TWO persons were killed and another was wounded in three shooting incidents in Cebu City within seven hours.

The first victim was identified as Young Ho Lee, a Korean national, who was shot dead by four unidentified men inside a hotel on Holy Name St., Barangay Mabolo at 6:20 p.m.

According to Senior Insp. Janelito Marquez, acting Mabolo Police Station chief, when investigators went inside the victim’s room, they saw drug paraphernalia and a receipt for a transaction with a man in Consolacion.

The man was believed to be a drug personality in the town, Marquez said.

Police are now looking into the possibility that the victim may have owed the assailants money.

“Sigon sa witness nga atung nahinabi nga nangayo daw nig sorry so maybe nakasala ning Koreano or nakatabla og kwarta ba,” Marquez said.

At 7 p.m., Andrew Jamandre, a manager of a food delivery service, was shot while he was walking on the roadside towards his vehicle in Sitio Tangkongan, Barangay Sambag 1.

He is now in stable condition.

On Monday dawn, an unidentified man was shot dead by a lone and unknown gunman in Veteran’s Drive, Barangay Apas.

Initial investigation by the Mabolo police revealed that a barangay tanod who patrolled the area heard two gunshots at 1:45 a.m. They then found the victim on the ground.

Four empty shells of caliber .45 and a deformed slug were recovered in the crime scene. (JOB WITH AYB OF SUPERBALITA)
