Higalaay over the weekend

CAGAYAN de Oro has just concluded two of Higalaay Festival's major events, the Cagayan Carnival Parade on Sunday and the Floats Civic Military Parade yesterday, making the Cagayan de Oro streets festive and fun over the weekend.

Police Superintendent Mardy Hortillosa, Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) spokesperson estimated a 2,000 crowd who witnessed each of the events.

There were 11 contingents who participated the carnival, where groups dance on the street in a grand costume parade accompanied by lively music, but only 3 participants were chosen as winners.
