School children get free eye exam

AROUND 52 pupils from Vista Alegre-Granada Relocation Elementary School in Bacolod City availed a free eye check-up on Saturday, August 25.

It was spearheaded by Rotary Club of Bacolod–East led by its president Philip Araneta and its partner organization, the Negros Occidental Optometric Society.

Rotary International District 3850 Lindon See Diet also joined the activity.

Diet said it is very important to have these kids subjected to an eye check-up considering their frequent exposure to the use of a computer, cellular phone and other gadgets.

Of the 52 pupils, eight had eye defects.
