EARLIER this year, Korean beauty brand The Face Shop has announced its collaboration with Coca-Cola. But this collection has only been made available in the country around July.

I have recently gotten my hands on their compact eyeshadow palette, which is one of the makeup products from the collection and here are my thoughts about it.

The Collection

Known for their adorable and cute collaboration with different brands and companies (e.g. Disney, Marvel, Kakao Friends), The Face Shop and Coca-Cola has come up with a total of six Coke-themed makeup products in their collab.

They have the Coca Cola Lip Tint (P695), Coke Bear Tint (P795), Coca Cola Lipstick (P895), Oil Control Clear Blotting Pact (P695), Oil Control Water Cushion Cola (P1,395) and the one I got which is the Mono Pop Eyes Eyeshadow Palette (P1,495). All products feature the iconic Coca-Cola red and brown colors and what blows my mind is that it smells like it too!

The Product

Among all the products in the collection, the one that really caught my eye (and damaged my wallet lol) is their Mono Pop Eyes eyeshadow palette in Coke Red. The palette is composed of nine eyeshadow shades

Other than its super cute packaging the palette shades, other than the poppin’ red one, is more on the neutral side which makes it a perfect everyday palette.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

1. Pigmented eyeshadow shades, good for everyday use – As what I mentioned already, most of the shades in the palette are on the neutral side and they are also pigmented and easy to apply which makes it suitable for everyday use. It also has a good mix of matte and shimmery eyeshadows. I was kinda hesitant about the red eyeshadow at first, but when I tried it on my lids, the shade of red is really pretty and can really make your eyes pop.

2. Some shades can double as highlighter. – Talk about versatility, some of the shimmery eyeshadow shades perfectly complements my skin tone and they can double as a highlighter as well. Another plus is that the shimmery shadows also didn’t irritate my skin.

3. Cute packaging – aesthetics-wise, the packaging of the product is really cute!

4. Travel friendly – the eyeshadow palette is compact enough which makes it travel friendly.

Cons

I genuinely love this product so much but if there’s a con to it, it would be:

1. Price – for P1,495 it’s really kinda pricey for a mini eyeshadow palette but on another note, it is limited edition so maybe it makes up for it?

2. The scent – I have no issues with it but those who are not into scented eyeshadows might find this as an issue. As for me, I am okay with it.

The Verdict

Two thumbs up for The Face Shop x Coca-Cola’s Mono Pop Eyes! When applying the eyeshadow I suggest using your fingers instead of a brush for a more poppin’ color pay-off.

This collection is definitely something that Coca-Cola lovers out there should not miss!
