First wedding fair in La Trinidad set

HIGHLAND weddings will be in focus at the Benguet State University.

The first Watwatworld Festival, highlighting local entrepreneurs in Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), will converge for the first wedding fair set in the Valley.

Dean Cuanso, Watwatworld festival organizer, said the wedding fair is a showcase of local wedding suppliers.

“Baguio city, La Trinidad and the Cordillera Region has a pool of talented and skilled wedding suppliers, there’s no more need to import from Metro Manila,” Cuanso added.

The two-day event to be held on September 1 and 2 at the BSU Open Gym will feature wedding essentials and suppliers for photo and video needs, events management, gowns and accessories, cakes and pastries, destination and travel venues, hair and makeup by wedding suppliers for soon to be wed couples.

“This is the first wedding festival of this kind in La Trinidad - a fusion of wedding suppliers and local entrepreneurs under one roof,” Cuanso said.

There will be at least 45 booths, 22 of which will be dedicated to wedding needs.

“These wedding suppliers can cater to both city and countryside highland weddings. Big discounts will be given to couples or their representatives who will visit the wedding booths,” Cuanso added.

Watwatworld is a wedding and events company based in La Trinidad specializing in highland weddings.

As part of the Watwatwolrd social responsibility to the community, Cuanso added the fair will also feature products and services of our local micro small to medium enterprises.

“Please do come and support our local and start up entrepreneurs. They have very good quality products you can be very proud of and are cheaper but healthier than those bought at commercial establishments,” he added.
