Woman nabbed in drug bust

A 33-YEAR-OLD woman was arrested following a drug bust conducted by the Angeles City Police Station 3 on Wednesday, August 29.

Joan Gomez, 33, of Epza resettlement center, was apprehended for allegedly selling illegal drugs in Barangay Pulung Maragul, Angeles City.

Chief Inspector Melencio V. Santos, an officer of Police Station 3, led the operation Wednesday afternoon, August 29, which resulted in Gomez’s arrest.

The police team, under the leadership of Chief Inspector Neil Rainer Mercado, coordinated the drug bust with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Gomez yielded several grams of shabu, assorted paraphernalia, and the P500 marked money.

A police agent positively identified the suspect as the source of illegal drugs he bought in an open lot inside the settlement site.

The suspect is now facing charges in court for alleged violation of Sections 5, 11, and 12 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
