P583-K illegal drugs seized in 3 drug operation

AN ESTIMATED P583,500 worth of dangerous drugs was seized from four persons in three separate anti-illegal drug operations in Negros Occidental in the past two days.

In Silay City, Melvin Pancho, 28, of Barangay Guinhalaran, was arrested in his house after police raided his house through a search warrant in the said village on Thursday.

Pancho is a level-three high-value target drug personality.

The operation was conducted by Silay City Police Station in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.

Police recovered from Pancho 10 sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu amounting to P340,000, several empty sachets, four lighters and a pouch.

In Bacolod City, Rogel Cabayaran, 39, and Jaime Garde, 35, both residents of Barangay Taculing were collared in a drug bust in the said village early Thursday.

Both suspects were allegedly caught selling shabu to a police agent for P1,000.

Police confiscated from them nine sachets worth P240,000, the P1,000 marked money and a pouch.

The suspects are detained at Police Station 6.

In La Carlota City, Joan Conelas, 34, of Barangay 2, a drug surrenderer was arrested in a drug bust in the said village last Wednesday.

Police also applied the search warrant on Conelas’s house, which resulted to the recovery of seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,500, the P300 marked money, an improvised tooter, four lighters, a pair of scissors and a cellular phone.
