A LARGE number of Kagay-anons gather in Centrio Ayala Mall's event center as GMA Network brought in its artists to join in the celebration of Cagayan de Oro's Higalaay Festival during a mall show on Thursday, August 30.
Kapuso stars, actors David Licauco and Jason Abalos and the actress, model and singer Mika dela Cruz, charmed the Kagay-anon shoppers and fans as they each serenaded and took photos with their screaming and adoring fans.
Pepito Manaloto star John Feir also hosted the mall show and entertained the crowd with jokes and several amusing games.
Celebrity Chef Donita Rose, the brand ambassador of Jolly Heart Mate Canola Oil, also joined in the festivities through sharing her own twist on the famed Higalaay dish “Sinuglaw” during her live cooking demo.
“Going around the Philippines during these wonderful festivals and sharing my twist on the local recipes is always such a fun and fulfilling experience for me. After the live demo, the people in the audience were able to get a chance to sample Donita's own rendition of Sinuglaw.
