Si Carly Jane Chua, nga Diwa Ng Dabaw 2017 ug Ms. Oroderm City 2015 giilang 2nd runner-up sa kompetisyon nga gihimo last September 2 sa MOA Arena.
Ang kompetisyon gimugna aron ma-promotar ang kultura sa mga Tsinoy lakip na ang pinasahi nga relasyon sa mga Intsik ug Pinoy dinhi.
Ang Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Philippines gipresenta sa Tak Chun Group, co-presented sa Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. ug giorganisa sa Chinoy TV, Miss Chinatown Foundation ug ABS-CBN.
Sa iyang Facebook post, aminado si Carly nga gikuyawan siya sa iyang pagsalmot sa kompetisyon, ilabi na nga first time niya kining pag-apil og national pageant.
"I have come a long way and I am ending it with a joyous heart. The past months have been very challenging, but every single drop of memory is worthy. This journey has taught me to strive amidst all hurdles that will come across me. To be honest, it is very hard to fight for victory alone and dismiss challenges with no one beside me. But I could rigidly affirm that this competition helped me realise the magnitude of my capacity," tipik sa iyang post sa Facebook.
Apan tungod dream niyang mosalmot og national pageant, naningkamot ang dalaga nga mapakita ug mahimong tinubdan nga mapakita ang abundang kultura sa Filipino- Chinese sa nasud.
"Most importantly, I am grateful to express the traits of a Dabawenya in materialising the mission of the pageant."
Nakuha sab ni Carly ang special awards nga Ms. Zalora 2018, Ms. Gibi Shoes 2018 ug Ms. Philippine Airlines 2018.
Sa pikas bahin, gideklarang big winner sa kompetisyon mao sila Moises Lim Yuen ug Marie Que.
Ang duha magsilbi nga ambassadors nga i-promotar ang kultura, kagikan ug tradisyon sa Filipino-Chinese community sa nasud.
Si Que sab ang morepresenta sa Pilipinas sa 2019 Miss Chinese International pageant.
Mikumpleto sa mananaug mao ang first runners-up Martin Chua and Sabrina Ng ug si Brian Gocheco as second runner-up.
