Artist to hold welfare concert

A LOCAL folk singer is set to conduct a concert which aims to expand assistance to local musicians, visual artists, cultural dancers and workers with their future medical and health care needs.

Brix Tan of “Lakbai Musika” said the concert will introduce to artists the importance of investing with HMO Care Health Plus which offers the most affordable life care.

“The first part of the concert which starts at 2-4 p.m. on September 30, 2018 at the Abada hall of Teachers Camp will be for the health insurance for artists to become members of HMO Care Health Plus which will be assisted by PhilHealth,” Tan added.

Once the artists become a member of HMO Care Health Plus, they will be privileged with hospitalization benefits, emergency care, special medical procedures, and general health care.

“At the cost of P9,600 per artist, they will now have access to affordable life care if the need arises. This is the reason why I will be inviting freelance artists to attend and avail of the opportunity to invest in health care,” Tan said.

Continuing his philanthropic works, the second part of his concert will be for the benefit of the children of Kibungan in Benguet Province.

The concert would like to seek sponsors for raincoats, rain boots, clothes, school supplies among other for the children of Kibungan.

“We are using Lakbai Musika as an avenue to render help to others through music as a talent. We all have different hidden talents which we still have not discovered, and through Lakbai Musika, we can use this to help others,” the folk singer reiterated.

Lakbai Musika also offers support for artists in the field of weaving, handicrafts among others to expose their products which are sold at the Duyan Bar, a top Session road.

“We would like our NGO Lakbai Musika to continue its support to the community, we would like to give our community workshops aligned with music because we want them to be able to transfer what they have learned to others,” Tan added.
