Most of our grandparents are simply the best! They are always there to give us the sugary treats our parents don’t want us to eat. They make way to go to our events, tell us funny stories from “back in their days” and simply just dote on their grandchildren.
Let September be the perfect excuse to show our grandparents how much we love and appreciate them! SM City Bacolod shares with you some weekend ways of doting on them in return as we celebrate Grandparents Day this Sunday, September 9.
Make it a food trip weekend! The restaurants at SM City Bacolod have an array of delightful treats for the seniors we love. Check out posters at participating food establishments for senior surprises mall wide until September 9.
Grand Treats for the Sweet Tooth. Food stalls, bazaar style, abound with sweet treats from participating Bacolod homegrown enterprises: Pretzi, Soul Sweets, Patty Cake Delights, Dulce’s, Puffy’s and Tiffany’s Confections in the second level, Northwing, until to September 16.
Support lolo and lola at the Seniors Bazaar! Do you remember your lola’s homemade specialty? Tastes delicious, the only way Lola can make it! Reminisce with some good old-fashioned food this weekend at a special edition bazaar, where it’s the grandparents doing the selling! Homemade hobbies and passion projects are on display at a special weekend bazaar run by the senior citizens of Osca, Federation of Senior Citizens of Bacolod, the Seniors of Silay, and alumni of the SM Senior Citizens Community Service Project. All products made with love by senior citizens in the second level, Northwing on September 7 to 9.
Soulful songs for seniors. Maybe the old songs are just what Lolo and Lola need! Watch heartwarming performances by talented grandchildren, all for the love of grandparents in the Main Atrium, North Wing on September 9 at 5 p.m.
