2 inmates released to decongest MOPJ

MISAMIS Oriental Governor Yevgeny Emano has warned two inmates of the provincial jail and rehabilitation center who were released last week after serving their sentence.

Freed were Sanny Guinalang, resident of Salay town; and Rodolfo Bontilao, of Villanueva.

“Maningkamot nga dili na sila mahitumpawak sa kadautan o matintal sa paghimo sa daotan batok sa isig katawo (They must stay away with temptations of doing evil against other people),” Emano said.

“Dili na importante kung unsang kaso ilang giatubang, ang mahinungdanon kung duna ba silay natun-an sa prisohan nga ilang magamit sa ilang pang-adlaw-adlaw nga panikaysikay isip gawasnon kauban ilang minahal sa kinabuhi (What's important now are the lessons they have learned inside the jail which they could use in their daily living as free men together with their loved ones),” he added.

The two were among those who availed the Jail Decongestion Program implemented by the governor.

Emano said the program still continues for detainees who wish to be free from detention.

However, inmates who want to avail the program will have to undergo stringent evaluation led by the Management Screening and Evaluation Committee from the paralegal, provincial probation and parole and officers of the MOPJ.
