JACINTO Omila Jr., more popularly known as Jay, is a successful businessman ranked as the number one table tennis athlete of De La Salle University Manila in 1994.

He was also the team captain during his prime and currently serving as the chairman of both the Table Tennis Association of the Philippines (TATAP) and the Table Tennis Association of Gensan (TATAG). He once served as the sports consultant of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of General Santos City.

Jay is also an aspiring politician whose advocacy is to boost the local economy through sports tourism.

With all these in the backdrop, Jay founded the Omila Sports Academy (OSA), a twelve-in-one sports hub which features various disciplines including table tennis, taekwondo, boxing, aikido, dart, hip hop dance, gymnastics, chess, muay thai, and fitness.

The academy, which started operating in May 2017, is temporarily housed at the third floor of SM Gensan but will eventually transfer to its permanent home at the Gaisano Mall of Gensan soon.

"My vision is to help Philippine sports to become world class once more and make Omila Sports Academy a leader in training potential international caliber athletes," the founder said.

Jay decided to form this institution to help uplift the level of sports awareness and skills among the people of General Santos City, seeing the need of the community to have an athlete-friendly venue.

OSA is famous with its wide and cozy venue, and state of the art facilities.

It is also being facilitated by seasoned coaches and instructors that are mostly affiliated with the National Sports Association (NSA).

To name a few are taekwondo coach Arvie 'Biboy' Antonio, who is a former University of Sto. Tomas (UST) champion, table tennis coaches Rondal Gamaliel Donaire, Randie Sagolili and Angela Thea Leal, gymnastic instructor Clarizze Barrientos, muay thai coach Raymund Adocal, hip hop insturctor Jodel Cimagala, and fitness instructors Xavin Serbo and Jasper Torquido among others.

Aside from that, OSA also offers classes for beginners and elite athletes.

The annual membership fee is pegged at P1,000 while the monthly registration may vary on the sports discipline.

It operates from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. from Monday to Sunday.
