LegalMatch Philippines, Inc. (LMPH), a developer of software applications for the US legal industry, participated in the reforestation program of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources on Arbor Day last June 25, 2018.
The event took place in the remote areas of Barangay Buot, Cebu City. LMPH joined other companies in celebrating the 55th year of Philippine Forestry Service of DENR called “Intayon Agmula, Tara na at Magtanim ” program of the Cebu City government.
Twenty employees of LMPH volunteered their Monday morning for the activity.
Together with volunteers from other companies, they planted seedlings of different varieties with the goal of helping grow back Cebu’s diminishing forests.
Louis Tato, one of the employees who volunteered, said: “Trees are vital to sustaining life on earth. We’re happy we had the opportunity to take part in this event. It was nice being with people who share the same values of helping mother earth regain its bounty.”
Aside from LMPH’s efforts to help grow and nurture the city’s IT talent pool, the company is also one with the global drive to restore and preserve the environment. It is one of the many ways that the company gives back to the community.
