PRO-Cordillera conferred proficient under PGS

EIGHT offices of the Police Regional Office–Cordillera (PRO-COR) have been conferred proficient status under the Performance Governance System (PGS).

Center for Police Strategy Management (CPSM) director Chief Superintendent Noel Baraceros together with National Police Commission regional commissioner Zenonaida Brosas, Regional Advisory Council chairman Reinaldo Bautista Jr. and members of the PRO-COR Command Group headed the conferment rights during the flag raising and conferment ceremony on September 10.

Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) garnered the highest rating of 95.72 percent, followed by Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with 94.36 percent, Abra PPO at 94.05 percent, Kalinga PPO at 92.77 percent; Regional Mobile Battalion 15 (RMFB) at 92.11 percent, Ifugao PPO at 92.064 percent; Mountain Province PPO at 88.966 percent and Apayao PPO at 87.03 percent.

The provincial directors of Ifugao, Kalinga, Abra, and Benguet PPOs, Battalion Commander of RMFB-15, and BCPO city director together with their respective advisory council chairman received the Silver Eagle Awards and Certificates.

The PGS Pin and Institutionalization Button were given to the awardees aside from a plaque of recognition which were awarded to all members of the PRO-COR Regional Advisory Council in grateful acknowledgement of their transformative value-adding contributions in support to PRO-COR in receiving a recipient of numerous awards in the completion of the stages of the PNP Patrol Plan 2030.

The hallmark of the proficiency stage is a successful strategic execution and management facilitated by strategy partners side from the evolution of a performance tracking document and a guide of the Command group in decision-making, resulting to the attainment of breakthroughs.

The PNP PGS is comprised of four stages: initiation, compliance, proficiency and institutionalization with the end-purpose of addressing organizational dysfunctions and improve the quality of the delivery of police services in the country.

The proficiency evaluation process includes the strategic readiness test, performance audit and unit which were conducted focusing on the alignment of the activities, projects, and initiatives to the strategy.

PRO-COR regional director Chief Superintendent Rolando Nana expressed his gratitude to the Regional Advisory Council for their continuous support and contribution to the command during the said activity.
