TWELVE drug personalities, including two minors, were arrested in a drug sting launched by joint operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Central Luzon (PDEA-3) and Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) Station 4 in Hadrian Street, Balibago, in the City of San Fernando on Monday night, September 10.

In a statement sent to Sun.Star Pampanga, PDEA-3 director Gil T. Pabilona identified the suspects as Evelyn Flores, 35; Salvador Macawile, 28; Jocelyn Lavina, 31; Ferdinand Macawile, 40; John Paul Lopez, 18; Ariel Fernandez, 31; Rodel Nallada, 33; Bayani De Guzman, 73; Tikyu Valenzuela, 22; and Noel Evangelista, 51.

Police withheld the identities of the two minors. All the suspects are residents of Angeles City.

Pabilona said Flores is known as the source of illegal drugs in the area. He also allegedly maintained a drug den that was dismantled by PDEA.

Pabilona disclosed that the anti-drug operation yielded 15 plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, with an estimated weight of more or less 30 grams amounting to some P204,000, assorted drug paraphernalia and the drug bust money.

Flores and her cohorts are now temporarily detained at the PDEA Jail Facility in the City of San Fernando while the two minors will be turned over to the City Social Welfare Development of Angeles City.

Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Acts of 2002 are being readied against the suspects.
