MANY of us are becoming more and more conscious of what we are putting in and on our bodies, be it the food we eat or even the skincare products we use. We are now on the age of trying to live a healthy lifestyle, which means everything should be “natural” or “organic.”
And for makeup enthusiasts who are into organic, Hailey Organics might be what you need.
Hailey Organics was established in June of this year by the Macaspac sisters Carmina and Nikki Louise after the latter thought of having another source of income aside from working.
“Nagwo-work na kasi ako. I don't wanna depend on my salary alone so that's why I decided na why not invest on something small business,” Nikki, the production manager of Hailey Organics, said.
“So I talked to her [Carmina] nga can you give me some suggestions on what we can sell nga products kahit mag start lang sa small na amount of money para i-roll na lang dayon sya. So she decided na why not mag try na lang ng lip tints,” she added.
According to Carmina, she is really fond of lip tints, to the point that whenever there's a release of new lip tints, she gets excited and buys some.
“Kasi personally ako, marami talaga akong lip tints. Pag may bagong lip tints, parang na e-excite ako so yun yung idea ko na lip tints kasi mahilig talaga ako,” Carmina, the marketing manager of Hailey Organics, said.
Apart from that, lip tints became the first product under the Hailey due to the fact that it became all the rage or the trend in beauty not only in Korea and all over the Asia but also in some Western countries.
“Nag start kasi siya sa Korea na mahilig sila sa lip tints. Mas nag u-use sila ng lip tints kaysa sa mga lip sticks. We decided na why not mag ano na lang kami ng lip tints na own brand namin tapos organic pa. Kasi trend naman din ang organic na products,” Nikki said.
Hailey's lip tints have seven shades: coral, allure, rose, chic, ruby, spice, and dolce, the best-selling shade of their lip tint, according to Carmina.
The lip tints last up to 7 to 15 hours and costs P150. The product is made of 100 percent natural ingredients, which includes: sunflower seed oil, vitamin E, and natural preservatives.
“Our products are all organic. Marami kasing mga people ngayon na sensitive ang skin so mas hinahanap yung mga natural ingredents ang ginagamit sa product,” Nikki said.
She also mentioned that their lip tints are also tagged as “lip therapy” as the product also has a moisturizing element that smoothens chapped lips.
“Actually, may friend ako na um-order din siya ng lip tints and she tried daw na to put it before she goes to sleep. Surprisingly daw, pagka morning smooth yung lips niya and she keeps on using it tapos nakita talaga niya na ‘yung chapped lips niya is nawala at na smooth nya,” Carmina shared.
Hailey Organics also released their cream blushes that bring enough color to your cheeks. It has three available shades: Boss Babe, Dusty Rose and Brick Brown.
They also have the Hailey: That Glow! liquid highlighter which is also all natural or organic, has a fruity scent, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. The liquid highlighter costs P180.
Apart from their products being 100 percent organic, Nikki assured their clients that their cosmetics are safe as not only its 100 percent vegan and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved, the sisters themselves also use the products.
They opened a shop along Don Apolinar Velez Street near Redtail, and have re-sellers all over Cagayan de Oro City.
Nikki also mentioned that they are planning to release organic skincare products in the future although at present, their lip tints and cream blushes are on demand to students and young professionals.
She added that they are also planning to have their products available in online shops.
A Cagayan de Oro hailed makeup brand penetrating the cosmetics market. It does not only have a potential for the Philippine market but also international.
“Possible, why not? Kasi yung investor namin, nag plan sya. Kasi yung products namin pwede daw sya i-ship sa labas. Pero I don't know kung ano ba talaga yung prices o anong gagawin namin,” Nikki said.
“We're still working everything out na parang smooth na parang fair ang lahat,” she added.
A hundred percent organic cosmetics fit for people looking for the “natural” look.
