All set for Nopsscea Season 38 opening

FIFTY-FOUR private schools across Bacolod City and Negros Occidental will converge at the Panaad Park and Stadium on Friday, September 14, for the opening ceremony of Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (Nopsscea) Season 38.

Leading the long list of participating schools this season is host STI-West Negros University, Asian College of Aeronautics Inc., Bacolod Adventist Elementary School, Bacolod Christian College of Negros, Bacolod Tay Tung High School, Bright Kids Preschool, Brookside Garden Academy, Castleson High/JJS–City Heights, Christian Academy of Bacolod, Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias, Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, Colegio San Nicolas de Tolentino-Recoletos, Don Bosco Technical Institute, and Eliakim Learning Center.

Also to carry their respective school colors are Evangelical Christian Montessori School, Holy Family High School-Bacolod, House of Praise Learning Center, J.O.Y. Christian School, Jack & Jill-Homesite, John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation, La Consolacion College-Bacolod, La Consolacion College-Murcia, La Consolacion College-Gardenville, Lamblight Catholic School, Living Stones International School and Mansilingan Christian Academy.

Other schools seeing action are Maranatha Christian Academy, Maranatha Christian College, Megumi Academy, Nazareth Institute, Negros Mission Academy, North Negros College, Northside Christian Academy, Queen of Peace School, Riverside College, Sacred Heart Seminary-Bacolod, Scola Guadalupana, Silay Institute, and South Hills Academy.

And completing the list are Southland College, St. Benilde, St. Carmen Salles School, St. Francis of Assisi School, St. John’s Institute, St. Joseph School-La Salle, St. Rose of Lima School, St. Scholastica’s Academy, St. Sebastian International School, St. Teresita’s Academy, Tangub Christian Academy, Trinity Christian School, Twin Stars Learning Center, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, University of St. La Salle, and VMA Global College.

Nopsscea president Ryan Mark Molina of STI-West Negros University, who is also the Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association president, said that Nopsscea envisioned of presenting the association from Negros finest to nation’s best through various innovations in it programs.

“We commit to intensify partnership and collaboration among member schools through education, culture, sports and social responsibilities,” he said.

“Further, we wanted to strengthen Nopsscea’s core values of spirituality, compassion, excellence, nationalism, and teamwork,” he added.
