Pormal kining gipahibawo sa gihimong pamahayag ni Mayor Inday Sarah Duterte nga gi-post sa City Information Facebook Page, “It is with a heavy heart that we cancel the trip of the 301 Davao City delegates to Baguio City for the Batang Pinoy sports competition. This is to ensure that the delegates will not be caught stranded in bad weather. We cannot compromise on the safety of the children, coaches, and support staff.”

Apan luyo niini, wala pay tubag kon ikonsidera sa lokal nga gobyerno sa Davao nga mopadayon og biyahe sa sunod mga adlaw aron makaapil sa nasyonal nga kompetisyon.
