2 nabbed in separate drug busts in NorMin

A TARGET-LISTED drug personality in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental and a son of a village official in Cagayan de Oro City were arrested in separate drug busts launched by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Northern Mindanao, this week.

Anti-narcotics agents on Wednesday, September 12, seized over P200,000 worth of illegal drugs from a target-listed drug suspect in a raid in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental.

Through a court order, members of the PDEA-Northern Mindanao swooped down and raided the house of the drug suspect identified as Iluminado Seguisa alias “Loloy,” 60, resident of Barangay Mobod, Oroquieta City.

Authorities confiscated six sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, known as “shabu,” worth around P204,000, a passbook and a mobile phone.

The suspect was placed number 7 in the PDEA target-list in the said province.

Early this week, PDEA-Northern Mindanao agents also arrested a son of a village councilman in Cagayan de Oro City in a drug bust along Yacapin Extension, Barangay 36, this city.

Nabbed was Regem Ocay, 36, who was figured in the watch list of PDEA-Northern Mindanao.

Authorities confiscated two sachets of suspected shabu worth nearly P7,000.

The two arrested suspects are now detained and will face drug charges.
