Garcia: 10th Davao Eagle Masters underway

THE 10th Davao Eagle Masters Golf Tournament is scheduled on September 14-16, 2018. Today is the first day. Good luck to the participants!

Leo Magno, president of the Davao Eaglemasters, Inc., as of last Monday, a total of 643 participants have registered. And as of Tuesday, September 11, the total number of registered players has increased to 662. What a huge turnout!

Golfers coming from as far as the US--New Jersey and Florida, are joining as well as golfers from Melbourne, Australia.

Several teams from Baguio, Manila, Cavite, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, Zamboanga and other parts in the country will also be participating.

Bbeing the 10th year of the tournament, the president said they will raffle off a brand new car during the awards night. No, no, they will not be selling raffle tickets to non-players. This special raffle draw is only available to the registered players of the tournament. What a special treat!

The Welcome Night cocktails was yesterday at the Davao Eagle Master Driving Range.

The Awarding Ceremony is going to be at 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the RMC Filoil Flying V Event Center. Better come early if you want good seats.

There will be three courses that will be played—Rancho Palos Verdes Golf & Country Club, Apo Golf & Country Club and South Pacific Golf & Country Club.

There are so many hole-in-one prizes at stake. Take note. Since there are three courses to be played, and there are four par 3’s per course, this means that each player has 12 chances to win a hole-in-one prize.

Hole-in-one prizes include: a Toyota Vios, P100,000 cash plus other cash prizes, a Suzuki Address motorcycle, a Honda Beat motorcycle, a Kawasaki motorcycle, a Yamaha Vega Force motorcycle, a Koppel 1.5 hp aircon, a Daikon 1hp aircon, a Hitachi aircon, an expensive Rene Mouris watch, a big flatscreen tv.

These are the following hole-in-one sponsors: Toyota Davao, Inc., Travellers Insurance & Surety Corporation, Motortrade Depot, Inc., Mr. Butchoy Taojo, Ace Specs Airconditioning and Hitachi/LDC Refrigeration & Airconditioning.

Registration fees - team P40,000, individual P8,000.

The proceeds of this tournament will go to various charities of the corporation. And this year, they will add to the list--funding for scholarships of dependents of the caddies and umbrella girls.
