A MINOR and four others were arrested in separate drug busts in Negros Occidental in the past two days.

In Bacolod City, Richard Jimenez was collared at Barangay 28 yesterday after he yielded three sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P2,000. He is detained at Police Station 6.

Also arrested in the city on Wednesday was a 17-year-old boy, whose name was withheld, and Jerry Cordova, 58, both residents of Barangay 2.

Senior Inspector Leo Estopa, head of Police Station 2, said the minor is a newly-identified drug personality and the subject of the operation.

During the operation, he was at Cordova’s house after he asked the latter for a temporary shelter when his house was previously gutted in a fire.

Police recovered from the minor were 15 sachets of suspected shabu worth P30,000, and the P200 marked money while Cordova also yielded a sachet of suspected shabu and an improvised tooter.

Cordova is detained at Police Station 2 while the male teenager was brought to Social Development Center for proper custody.

He is under the drugs watchlist of the city police.
