THE families of the 14 coconut firm employees who were killed during an accident in Barangay Astorga in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, last June 3, 2018 will receive more benefits and livelihood assistance this month.

"We are going to have a press conference at the Marco Polo and at the same time give additional cash assistance to the families of the deceased," Bantan said.

"We have given them P45,000 for funeral benefits alone, wala pa’y labot ang ilang pension nga madawat (We have given them P45,000 for funeral benefits alone, not including the pension that they will receive)," he added.

Bantan added that the Department of Labor and Employment may provide additional livelihood assistance as well.
