A 17-year-old minor was caught after he yielded more than P500,000 worth of illegal drugs in Sitio Kahuyan, Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City last Friday evening. Seized from Mark’s (not his real name) possession was illegal drugs worth P519,200, a value set by the Dangerous Drugs Board. An alleged gunman was also arrested during a drug bust in Sitio Wangyu in the same barangay.
Harold Mabatid, 23, was arrested by the drug enforcement unit of the Mambaling Police Station. The suspect yielded illegal drugs worth P91,568. Mabatid was allegedly behind the death of Louie Flores, 28, last Friday dawn.
Flores was on his motorcycle when he was shot twice by Mabatid in Sitio Kahoyan in Alaska, Mambaling.
Investigators have yet to determine the motive behind the attack. In Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City, 12 persons were caught in another drug bust last Friday. Anti-drug operatives of the city conducted the operation following reports by residents about the alleged illegal drug activities in the area. Illegal drugs worth P63,300 were seized from them. (JOB)
