Fools rushing in

CAN you still believe Floyd Mayweather Jr.?

He just said he wants to fight Manny Pacquiao. Again.

Floyd is a known blabber and with his famous fakery, almost no one takes him seriously anymore.

He’s past his prime to begin with. At 41, boxing has no more need of him. How many times he has unretired, I have lost count. Only recently did he come not to box but do mixed-martial arts.

He got into that farcical bout with Conor McGregor after which he laughed his way to the bank.

That has been his eternal forte: Fooling us.

He unretired to fight Pacquiao three years back and pocketed a fortune.

And how could he lose to Pacquiao then when Pacquiao fought with just one healthy arm in that “Fake of The Century?”

It was a non-contest to remember if only because both fighters had stashed away the biggest purses ever in boxing history. That’s why I also called it the “Heist of The Century?”

Without virtually breaking up a sweat, Mayweather merely toyed with Pacquiao in capturing a unanimous decision.

The whole world booed the fight for its being a first-class bore.

In recent records released in social media, both fighters reportedly collected a total of $410 million, Mayweather stashing away a bigger chunk of it.

But, of course.

This, even as Mayweather fought a one-armed weakling in Pacquiao that crazy night in 2015 in Las Vegas.

And for concealing an injured shoulder when he faced Mayweather, Pacquiao was sued by disgruntled fans who, without a doubt, were robbed of their good money at the tills.

The case remains unresolved.

OK, Mayweather is prancing around again, luring Pacquiao to another clown act to be despised. Again.

But yes, they can fight again, why not?

Even if Pacquiao is practically history at 39, many still insist he might still command attention, attract his loyal throng.

Boxing being the only circus endearing to folks for all eternity, the rematch might, can, still sell.

Remember, it is only in boxing that suckers are born every minute.

C’mon, fellas. Don’t be a KJ.
